Key Family Transitions isn't something I came to understand only through professional training. I've lived a version of it with my own family.
I've known the late-night hospital runs and the worry that comes with realizing your parents' needs are changing. I've experienced what happens when a home that once worked becomes more than can reasonably be managed—and when that home belongs to an artistic, creative person who loved to collect, there can be a lot more to work through than anyone anticipated.
Those experiences taught me that a family transition is rarely about one decision.
It's the care. The people. The belongings. The home. The finances. The logistics. The emotions. And all the ordinary responsibilities of life that don't stop simply because your family suddenly needs more from you.
My professional career has also been centered around people and change. After years of leading Human Resources, I've spent much of my career helping people navigate complicated situations, competing priorities, difficult conversations and consequential decisions.
Key Family Transitions brings those experiences together.
My role isn't to have every answer. It's to understand what's happening, help identify what needs attention, bring appropriate resources into the conversation, and help coordinate the practical pieces so families can be more present for the people who matter most.
